July Shows Added, Hollywood Bowl

Death Cab for Cutie added six additional shows in July, including a stop at the esteemed Hollywood Bowl, where they will perform a number of songs with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The July dates also include performances at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Greek Theatre, and more. They finish with a show outside of Seattle at Marymoor Park. Supporting their July dates are Tegan & Sara, Andrew Bird, The New Pornographers, and Ra Ra Riot.

'The Open Door EP'

Death Cab for Cutie have announced the upcoming release of their new EP, The Open Door. It features five tracks - four previously unreleased songs and a demo version of Talking Bird (from their album Narrow Stairs).

The Open Door is scheduled to be released online via all digital retailers on March 31st , and physical CDs will be available at venues starting at the April 7th Philadelphia show. The EP will be available in retail stores on April 14th.

Dark Was The Night Charity Compilation

The Dark Was The Night compilation CD was released today, the latest in the series of charity albums that benefit the Red Hot Organization. Ben Gibbard and Feist pair up on the track, "Train Song". Also appearing on the two-disc set: Andrew Bird, Beirut, Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear, Iron & Wine, My Morning Jacket, The New Pornographers, Spoon, and many, many more great artists.
