Benjamin Gibbard & Jay Farrar: Washington DC Show Added, NPR Fall Music Preview
Benjamin Gibbard, and Jay Farrar of Son Volt, have announced an additional show on Tuesday, October 27th in Washington, DC, at the 9:30 Club. Tickets for this show go on sale Thursday, October 1st.

New Death Cab for Cutie song to be first single on New Moon soundtrack
It was announced today that Death Cab for Cutie's contribution to the Twilight series' "New Moon" will be the first single from the soundtrack album. The song, "Meet Me On the Equinox" will premiere on September 13th at the MTV Video Music Awards.

New Ben Gibbard Project, "One Fast Move or I'm Gone: Kerouac's Big Sur"
One Fast Move or I’m Gone: Kerouac’s Big Sur, a new album featuring 12 original songs composed and performed by Ben Gibbard and Jay Farrar of Son Volt - with lyrics based on the prose of Jack Kerouac’s landmark 1962 novel Big Sur - will be available on October 20th. One Fast Move or I'm Gone is a result of Ben and Jay having discovered a mutual appreciation for Kerouac's work while recording several songs for a feature-length documentary of the same name, also available on October 20th.
